yes u r right bcoz in today's time we need job oriented courses rather than knowledge, but I'm sure that if our education sys. will be such for another few years our country will be suffering from the scarcity of researchers, inventors, creators, etc...

Who told that Indian Educational Institutions have stopped producing intellectuals? If you want an excuse for going abroad, I can give you many. This definitely is not a valid one. Otherwise International recruiters will not be camping in our campuses to negotiate Astronomical salaries and perks for some of our best students. Some of the Best teachers in the finest foreign Universities are also Indians who learnt in India.
Our students are winning world Olympiads in Science and Maths and also excelling in other competitions abroad. Don't be myopic. India will always continue to produce first class intellectuals. I bet you too can be one of them if you change your prejudice and work willingly.
As for the debate that professionals are not intellectuals, this is a mere farce. A professional is ,first and foremost, an intellectual who has mastered the art of applying his or her intellectual abilities to solve problems of day to day life. Idle speculative intellectualism also has some place in the realm of Philosophy, but then , have too many of them and you have a soup soured by excessive doses of salt or condiments.

People ... Indian institutes have not stopped producing intellectuals ...

but , i can say that the no. of them coming out is declining...
that's because there are students who deserve to go there end up going somewhere else ... say abroad .
this mainly is due to the frustrating reservation policy ...

I'm not saying that the oppressed should not be given a chance by reservation....
but just think of how many people are misusing this ...

among the people who have reservation ... there are people who can actually afford to educate their children better ,....

among those who don't have it ... there are people who cant offered ... so ... its because of the reservation policy that this is happening ...

also ... most of the education given here is not research oriented ... also there is not enough support ...
