I am using samsung colour laserjet printer. If I print a word document it also prints tiny dots as background. So it is looking text with gray background instead of white. Is there any setting problem?.

By your descreption of the problem i would say your Heating Element is not heating up the ink properly on the paper.Replace the element;its not that expensive;.If you are going to do it yourself make sure the printer is not hot, because it can burn you.
Hope it helps

Just check that the same thing has been happen with any other word documents first. if not then the specific document must have any thing there in the background and if yes then go to printer settings > options > color settings > select text /draft ooption also select black & white Radio Button your problem will be solve

You are going to have to check settings in multiple places. Check the settings for your printer in control panel, then check the printer software settings (if it came with any), then most importantly check the color setting for the printer in Word. Make sure that the background color is white if there is that option. Good Luck.
