People always say they want to hear everything, the truth included. But honestly I don't think anyone is quite prepared to hear all the gruesome details about their selves. If you lie to protect someone as much as it does hurt it was out of love and I think they should recognize that. The truth is not always the best thing for a person to hear.

It's still a lie no matter how well the intentions. There is a limit of how long you can keep protecting someones feelings. After awhile lying just doesn't cut it anymore. That person would be better off with hearing the truth no matter how painful it may seem. Can't go through life living a lie being afraid of the truth.

It's like a white lie, but don't worry about it. Be honest as you can, but try to do in tactful way. But sometimes, people can't handle truth, especially when their confidence is already low...so sometime to help build, this is acutally a therapeutic lie, ok?

yes, but some lies are okay. The adult world is not black and white enough to say it is never right to lie. if it was something terribly important that could lead to harm, it is bad, but if it has no probablility of harm i would say it is okay to do so
