That a company is "multinational" is irrelevant. Jurisdictional issues are addressed in the European Union by the Brussels Regulation, within the EEA by the Lugano Convention, and in the USA by such cases as International Shoe and Asahi Metal Industries.
If it is fair and reasonable, considering the connections between the company and the forum, for the company to be made to appear there -- within the limits of the principle of "forum non conveniens" (in the USA, and within the UK for cases outside the scope of the Brussels Convention) -- the court will assert its jurisdiction.

They must behave in the same responsible manner as any other legal person, and has the same duties and responsibility as a legal person. They are able to be sued in civil court, and may be named as a defendant in Criminal proceedings. In practice it is very rare to take criminal action against corporate or multinational entities and they present a wealthy lobby in international politics.

Law will not, must not, and will, and must treat them like any other entity.
