I'm not sure it would end up back in the hands of the CURRENTLY wealthy, but I do see it becoming unequally distributed after a while. I think this comes down to the fact that:
a) some people value money more than others, and thus put more effort/time into seeking (monetary) wealth
b)some are simply better at understanding money and general economics than other
How long would it take - probably not all that long at all. A few years at most

I know after all that wealth had been divided equally, I would only be about one dollar richer. It would not take much time for that money to get back to the wealthy.

Oh it wouldnt take long at all. Immediately many, many people would be killed or taken advantage of and Greed would laugh his evil laugh. I would say in days, if it even took that long, we would have those with wealth and power completely dominating over others.
