I am very out of touch ....what is a good "quest game" for my PC?

If they still call them that!

Along the lines of 'Myst', 'King's Quest', 'Space Quest', etc (told you I was out of touch!)

Can you recommend any good ones for me and a very brief outline of what the game object is.

Quest for Glory is my all time favorite. I share a deep fondness for these games that span all the way back to my childhood. It has a lot of cute humor and memorable characters; you play the role of an average Joe who wants to become a hero to people. You can achieve this in the game by doing good things for other people.

Another personal favorite is Conquest for Camelot, which is a Sierra game like the Quest series that allows you to play the role of King Arthur as he searches for the Holy Grail. This is an excellent game.

I would definitely recommend the Monkey Island series. It's by LucasArts. It's an absolutely hilarious adventure in the pirate-era Caribbean, with plenty of intriguing puzzles.

Myst has some very decent sequels.

If you're more into puzzles than storyline, go for SafeCracker. The story is completely unimportant, but the puzzles are top-notch.

I've heard good things about the Syberia and Atlantis series, but I'm afraid I don't have any first-hand experience with them.
