I know it's difficult, but, to not forgive someone is to sentence yourself to living in an emotional hell. In the theatre of your mind, you relive heartbreaking moments, and there are bitter words that ring in your ears day and night - haunting words of rejection are indelibly etched into your memory. Bitterness and unforgiveness can control you like a raging cancer. You laugh, but your laughter is hollow. You smile, but behind the mask are the tears. The pain and memories will not stop.
The only solution is Forgiveness. It is the first step towards hope, happiness, healing, and freedom.

Forgiveness is a waste. By forgiving someone you are essentially telling them that you are so worthtless that you actually deserve what they did to you the not only does it not matter that they have dont what ever it was they are being forgiven for, but that if they do it again, or something worse, well then that's okay too. And to seek forgiveness is also a weakness. Essentially it is someone waying that they need outside approval for what they have done, or that they need someone else to tell them that the matter is over and done with so they can relieve their societally conditioned, externally imposed sense of guilt.

And forget? I don't EVER forget.

In my opinion forgiveness is probably one of the hardest things to do. But if you don't forgive and just let it go then what is the point in saying I forgive you for this horrible thing you did to me. The bible says that we must forgive or our Father in heaven will not forgive us. Sometimes it takes saying it daily and lots of prayer before we can have peace with it. It's just too much work to carry around unforgiveness and hatred for someone. Forgive and forget...get on with you life.

I forgive, but never forget. Once you forget, that opens up the chance for it to happen again.

Forgive...yes, but forget? NO! Why? Because we need to remember things...that is how we learn life's lessons. That's not to say you bring up in every row something that happened 10 years ago.

I can forgive, but rarely forget. I let things go for along time but somehow they still creep up in the back of my mind at some point in time.
