in pawn promotion if there occurs a situation that the Queen taken gives a check ,is it a check.

I am actually asking if it is equall to placing a queen in that place or there is some time delay(as my friends says).they say even though the queen comes it is not a check.

There is no "time delay." A promoted pawn becomes the promoted piece in the move to the eighth square. So, check, or checkmate occurs on that (same) move. btw, I am a reliable source from the internet :), but you can also check with the world chess federation website.

Anything promoted from a pawn and threats the king of the opponent automatically gives a check. Your friend is wrong.
That technique will give you and advantage but i prefer you should always choose the queen or the knight (horse) depending on the situation.

The time delay is until you figure out the correct rules. Your friend is just bitter that he got outplayed.

Your friend is totally wrong, and yes you are correct.......... Your friend is thinking of a certain Gambit that does not apply, So Yes you had him in a legal check............................
