The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert was an open air concert held on Easter Monday, April 20, 1992 at London's Wembley Stadium, televised live worldwide

It's true there was a Memorial concert at Wembley....I think it was called "Tribute to Freddy Mercury" (not sure tho).

Don't know how many viewers there where, but I'm sure lots of people watched it, since it was televised live World Wide.
