Well, it depends what you are looking for? If you are looking for a White Christmas, then Vienna is the better option, but if you are looking for a Christmas that the whole family can enjoy then Munich is the place to go.

I was told it was Austria, when my son was serving over seas, he spent a Christmas there, he said Lots of GREAT skiing(or snowboarding) which ever u prefer.
He said that there just wasn't enough snow in Germany(weather alot like IL) to skii.

definitely germany, they really get into it in a big way and in a traditional way, the old chrismas stalls and fairs are amazing, we have one in princes street, edinburgh, scotland every year and it is truly wonderful, it has a feeling of xmas past in ye olde days!
