either if they were not there to be rude.
If I had to pick one, i would say females are more accepted at a gay club, mainly because the gay guys can often handle any physical attack from a woman ( this is not to say females are weak) but several straight guys in a lesbian bar could be thought of as a physically threatening situation. Also every time I have seen a straight guy in a lesbian bar he was trying to "turn a woman over to his side, or wondering if he could watch"

Depends. Straight men in a lesbian bar would not go over well simply because they'd harass the lesbians. If no one KNEW they were straight, there wouldn't be a problem. Gay men in a lesbian bar would also be no problem. Women in a male-oriented gay bar are usually less unwelcome because even the straight ones are less uptight. They're less likely to hassle the primary clientele. If some woman DID come in and start bible-thumping, or continuously saying things like "maybe you just haven't slept with the right woman", she'd be out on her *** too. And lesbians are no problem there.
It's more about attitudes of said men and women, and the trends that straight men and women tend to follow in society.

I do not know. I have not been to a lesbian bar in a long time.
But the last time I did go was with a heterosexual black woman who wanted to go have a drink without worrying about being hassled by hetero men who wanted to flirt.
There was an older lesbian who was very butch. She was very rude to both me because I am a Man, and to my friend because she was Black. Of course, she was a little drunk.
When we went to bars for gay men, we never had any problems. We went to regular bars, not to dance clubs.
I've heard of men at gay bars giving women a hard time, from a lesbian friend of mine. But I have never witnessed it firsthand.
But I think that lesbians tend to be a bit more protective of their turf, because there are fewer places that are geared towards lesbians. I guess some of them feel that having a few men there, even if they're gay, spoils it.
I've had that experience on the internet when going into a few rooms that are supposed to be for GLBT people in general, but really mostly women hung out.
In one instance, one of the women was very rude, despite knowing that I was a gay man and not there to hassle people. Just to have a friendly chat. I think MOST women are just fine about it, once they know for sure that you're not a heterosexual guy intent on harrassing or flirting.
I guess you'll find bigots in every group, regardless of race or being gay or not gay.

It really depends on the crowd and the history of the bar. However, in my bar hopping years of experience, women are usually more welcomed in a gay bar because lesbian women have less establishments to call their own.

Women drinking in a gay bar, I would think. Just based on the concept of '*** hags' and all that. But I don't want to generalize- I bet a lot more bars are willing to accomodate both genders than we realize. But I imagine that gay men wouldn't get that uppity about women hitting on them (were that to happen) as lesbians would feel with men wanting to have threesomes and convert them, etc.

I am not sure, I do not think there is much difference, in fact I think anybody would be welcomed, gay, lesbian or straight, but if it came to a crunch I would pick the women in a gay bar.

Usually it wouldn't matter, except in certain bars. There are a few lesbian bars that are a sort of "women only space" that even transwomen sometimes aren't allowed in. A straight guy going into one of those is just looking for trouble, and is definately in for some serious pain. As for a woman in a gar bar, they're typically called "f@g hags."
