How do you feel and act when you're in social situations? Are you the life of the party, a wallflower, or somewhere in between?

I am pretty introverted unless I'm drunk. But that's pretty common!

I think my friends would agree - it takes me a while to warm up but once I do I'm a hell of alot of fun!

Most people are both. If I am in a social situation that I can control I am an extrovert. However, sometimes when I feel out of my league I am introverted. An interesting story when I was 15 I was at a party where all the girls clustered around this rich really handsome guy and he was having a "ball" enjoying all the attention. I felt I wouldn't or couldn't compete so I went to the other side of the room definitely an introvert. The next day he called me and asked me why I was so cold to him? Astonished, I didn't have an answer. We dated for a long long time and since he was a preppie {private school} and then went on to Harvard, he talked about 80 per cent of the time as I was in awe of his knowledge. Here's the punch line. He always said that I was the most interesting person he had ever dated

I think that I am an introvert but my friends disagree. At parties I usually have a slow start at parties - being something between a wallflower and the life of the party. After a couple of hours I start mingling, going around the room like a social butterfly.

i'm an introvert. and i think most of my friends would agree with that. In social situations, i do what i have to. in business, i have to meet with people and be able to talk without falling apart. i play the game when its needed., but my true nature is to be alone and happy.

With my close friends I'm an extrovert, but when I'm put in new social situations I get very shy and don't talk that much unless I have friends with me.

a complete straight-up friendly introvert...whom friends know that i'm too timid/intimidated, but knows how society works and lays low...

but an introvert wouldn't get drunk since they wouldn't take that risk!! :o sucks when you want to befriend but the power of innocence loses to the potential force

oh a complex web we weave

When they taught us this in elementary, all the guys went extrovert and the girls didn't change. Funny, isn't it. How the school system educates us in more than books and grammer.
