I don't have a problem with sexy and feminine Halloween costumes- that's just good fun, but when it crosses the line into tacky and slutty...give me a break! I don't think that's cool at all. I mean when someone parades around in nothing but a bra and stilettos, or nothing but a fire helmet, thong and a shirt that says "I'll hose you down"...c'mon. They're trying to hard, it's redundant, cheap and uncreative to boot. But hey, whatever...their choice. And anything sounds like a pretty good idea when you're hammered.
And I have a pretty decent body (not that I can prove it heh heh) so don't pull the "you're just jealous" card. Jealously isn't the feeling, more like...pity! That's the one.
Well anyway what do you think?

there is a line between tasteful and trashy that gets crossed all to often.

Honestly... I think it doesn't take much of an imagination to dress slutty on Halloween. I love the people who come up with really original costumes. I grew up in the late 80's early 90's and the year I was really impressed with some of the costumes I saw... Legends of the Hidden Temple Teams, Saulte your shorts, GUTS... it takes more time and effort and it shows in the long run, and no one is going to look at you like an easy lay...

While adults to celebrate Halloween, they are free to dress as they choose at a private party. But it is generally a children's thing and slutty clothing is inappropriate on the streets while children are out trick-or-treating.
You can dress with feminine elegance and be absolutely lovely and not offensive to anyone. I would never dress slutty except in the privacy of my own bedroom with my own husband. But that's just me. I think a woman should be a lady in public and .... you know the rest.

I think if the person can pull it off then they can wear it. But the thong and your examples are too much, I havent seen that but if I did I would agree that it is tacky.
I just think it's funny when I see girls with slutty costumes and they are always pulling on them - they should have known it was small before leaving the house.

I'm with you.
At a Hallowe'en party I was at, a few teenagers showed up, but most of the people at this party were older, but the girls were so provocatively dressed, they stood out. I had to leave before it was resolved, but most of them looked pretty embarrassed---they were at the wrong party, and the hostess was trying to help them find where they were supposed to be.
I really did feel sorry for them because they looked so scared.
Just goes to show, it can really backfire.

I think men and women should keep their bodies modestly covered. Everybody has their agency to choose but a line really should be drawn.

I think they are just what you said, slutty. If a girl wants to go out like that and have everyone think of her as slutty, so be it. But personally, I don't want to see it.

If you got it flaunt it. Some people should be covered up at all times though.
