This event is also popular in other Spanish
-speaking countries. If you were to attend, you would be going to la
corrida. What are you going to see and where are you going to see it? What event is this!?

"La corrida" is a bullfight; but it´s usually at 5 o´clock. You know what it is: bullfighters "fight" a bull, and then finally kill the bull. If the public likes that bullfighter art (it IS an art) or way of bullfighting, then they show white handkerchiefs then he´s given one or the two bull´s ears or even his tail (the highest award!!). But it´s not every Sunday either; in Granada, where I live, we have "corridas" when it´s our city patron or our main festivities. Madrid and Seville are known for their beautiful bullrings and their tradition in bullfightings

It's not popular in Catalunya, in fact, it is prohibitted in most places except for one tourist attraction in Barcelona, which has shut down, too, I think. Here, we are usually enjoying a siesta or watching a movie or TV, etc.
