Diamonds with gold!

It depends on the woman. Some women like the bigger diamond with a gold band, for status. Other women like things less traditional. White gold is attractive. Personally, I don't want a diamond when I get married, it's too overdone. I think the money for a diamond would be better spend on a house.They are beautiful, though. They "last forever" so to speak.

Honestly a combo of both.
Gold and Diamond can both be fake.
And Engagement ring is what makes most people go nuts.. people love that.
You should find out what a girl likes... which stone, which metal, and how they like to wear things (earrings, necklace, ring..) or pay attention to what they feel they are desperately lacking. Something with alot of thought it worth more then the Hope Diamond to a person. There will be a connection between it and you ALWAYS.
Diamonds tend to be FAKE. Gold tends to be plated (which means it's fake basically) or not high enough (in karats) for anyone to care.

I would say Diamond. Definately. Gold is out. Silver, Platinum is in.

if it's yellow gold...get it from thailand. It's true yellow gold there. In America..yellow gold is well ..very fainted gold that it looks rusty.
But white gold is better or platinum.
White gold with diamond, there ya go.
Silver is too cheap and will rust quickly.
