I have a weight bench and some free weights. What I really need is a program to follow so I'm not just making my self sore.

I'd suggest joining the Y and taking some classes. My local Y also has a staff member design an exercise program for you when you first join, and teaches you how to do exercises so you have the greatest posititve impact (and don't hurt yourself).

After you know what you're doing then you can do your own thing.
