What you grew yourself would be legal only what you bought would be taxed,like cigs. like tobacco if you grew it and smoked it, you dont pay taxes on that

Its a huge contradiction that we can smoke our selves to death, and drink, but marajuana is not listed. It also sucks that they will not promote natural cures, and suppress all the info. Marajuana would be safer than many drugs they give people, legally.

My aunt had stomach cancer. They started her on morphine, she got addicted, and instead of going to chemo, she went from pharmacy to pharmacy for pain relief, until she died from the cancer. the morphine became more important then her life. but i have also been researching tons of cures for cancer, diabetes, fatigue, fybromialgia...just about everything you can think of. they make millions giving and pushing their chemical toxins onto us until we die.

I would have agreed with you before but as a seasoned toker, The **** can really **** with your head. Its not as soft as some people think. It effects everyone differently. If you use it everyday for a good long time it WILL impair your memory. For some people that may be a bonus but in general when you are talking with someone and you forgot what was just said it makes converstaion kinda hard.

It has good effects it can make a person giggle and laugh and feel happy and confident. But it can also cause negative effects , paranoia ( and not just it's illegal and you think the cops are out to get you.) It can rob your energy which can be good if you want to sleep but doesn't help when there are things you have to get done. Its a good temporary escape from life but when the high wears off you still have to deal with everything. Use everthing in moderation.By itself it isn't that much a risk to coordination impairment but if you drink + smoke weed it can cause great impairment.MJ is expensive engouh , you don't want the government to get its hands on it.

The legal action that can come against a user is in proportion to the amount they have. Usually anything under an ounce is a misdemeanor but over is a felony with possible intent to distribute. Growing it youself is the worst offense that is probably when they take your kids away. ( Think about this if you have the time and patience to nuture MJ plants then you may be nuturing indivual to even your children. ) They can also take your car or your house ( if you grow it inside your home) . Often if you grow it in your home they will assume that you distribute and they will also assume that any items of great expense ( jewelery, computers, cars , fourwheelers , etc.) were purchased with drug money. Marijuana may have a fighting chance but drugs like cocaine and heroin should NEVER be legalized. They can really kill you.

Definitely, the time and money spent to jail people over it is ridiculous when so many other worse crimes are being committed. Legal drugs, like cigs and alcohol kill people everyday, but MJ is not okay? That's so stupid, but the only reason they haven't is because people can grow their own, and it couldn't be taxed. I certainly think it is. I'm not a smoker myself but I certainly don't believe it's use should be criminalized.
I used to be able to tell my children that I didn't know any one who smoked who made anything of their lives. I can't say that anymore. I know plenty of successful people who smoke pretty regularly. It's a shame that if someone needs to find a job or acquire insurance they have to prove, through urine or blood, what they do with their leisure time. This whole idea that pot smokers are thugs or hooligans is ridiculous. I worry more about people who don't know better than getting behind the wheel of a car when they've been drinking than I do about pot smokers.

Yes I do think it should be legal,but under the same laws as alcohol, no smoking in public, in your car, under 18 (no not 21) etc. The problem with states legalizing it is it still illegal on the federal level.
I don't smoke any more my self but to each thier own.

I don't smoke marijuana, but I don't see why it shouldn't be legalized. Most people I know smoke it anyway. Your reasoning is valid. The problem is with pharmaceutical companies. Marijuana is an anti-depressant and a painkiller, and should it become legal, those companies will lose fortunes. Therefore, it'll be a while before it's legal again.

Wrong time in history for that concept. Right now government is busy regulating our lives by making more things illegal rather than legal. Regulation of smoking in private business, regulation of foods, regulation of marriage, regulation of when you can go to the bathroom. Okay the last one hasn't been done yet.

I think this world we have a lot less problems if it were legalized, and medical insurance wouldn't have to be paying out so much for narcotics we could all just grow our own and live in peace.Alcohol is worse then pot and we can get **** faced.
