It was out in the summer and was a musical but I can't remember the name of it. Anyone know?

Yes it's Idlewild. I saw it and loved it. It's not for everyone, but it will be one of my all time favorites. It's not in the theaters by me anymore. You should try to catch it on the big screen if you can. Hopefully it will go to the cheap show.

I thought the OutKast guys did a great job and so did Paula Patton. Even though this movie kind of follows the Moulin Rouge concept of putting modern music to an historical time, it was still very creative and original. They had the Shakespear all the worlds a stage theme and I'm assuming they showed all 7 different stages of life (I have to see it again because I couldn't remember what they all were and wasn't really watching for them) It was really cool the way they brought in modern music and had an all African American cast transplanted back in history to a fictional southern town and where the could run a speak easy.

There was really creative editing and it had a little bit of a David E. Kelly (Ally McBeal) feel. I'm sure I'm making it sound strange and it is, but it all fit together so well and I was thoroughly entertained!
