I took a self assessment test on www.stresscenter.com and it helped me understand myself a lot better, but I need help with changing how I am. Heres what it said: "On the overall affectedness scale you are probably anxious and depressed much of the time. More than likely it is hard for you to enjoy life on any consistant level. You are always second-guessing yourself and the world around you. You are over thinking and obsessing and you hardly ever experience peace of mind. You're often fearful, worrisome and unhappy. You dont like being this way but you dont know what to do to change. Things are too much work and no one understands the way you feel. You go from worry to depression, to worry again, wearing yourself out with your thoughts and what if thinking. You probably hate yourself much of the time for being so miserable to be around and yet you cant seem to find comfort when youre alone. Nothing makes you feel safe or happy, and life is just one big struggle."

Being a Psychology Major in the graduate level, and a Person concerned with you agreeing to all of the above I would suggest you take the time to talk with someone. Not because I feel that you can't fix it yourself but I personally see therapy or consultation as a sounding board someone you can have help you decipher all this information. I can understand how all the stuff this test said would be overwhelming and hard to swallow, but the best way to get through something like that is to break it down and I personally think that seeking out professional help could help you sort things out in a orderly fashion. Now I want to tell you that this my personal advise as a human being not as a professional. You may feel that it is unnecessary to speak to a specialist and that is fine. However, please talk to someone that you trust. A religious figure if you have any religious affinity or a close friend, someone so you are not dealing with this alone. Sometimes these test are not all that they claim to be so don't take what it say too close to heart and start believing everything it says. Get a better type of evaluation first and if there are some thoughts going through your head that may be a dark and destructive definitely talk to someone. I also want to remind you that we are our own worse critics, and many times we judge our self harshly on things. Getting another view from an outside perspective by someone who sees us differently may be a good idea. Not to say that you don't know yourself, just saying that if you get an outside opinion even from a friend they can help you see the good characteristics, that you are more than likely over looking. The first step to change is realizing that you need to, and coming to decision that you are going to try. I commend you for trying you are already past the hardest step. The fact that you are willing to look inside and try and be better says that you are a smart person who want to lead a happy and fulfilling life, you are on the road to getting there. God bless you on the your travel I will pray that you find the right answer to get you to a better view of self.

not sure what your question is....

this is an online test, it cant be too credible. do you feel the results are correct? if so, go see a therapist, it works. if not, dont worry about it.
