well, my book recommendations are romantic and for teenagers and hard to put down. not so funny but there are some funny
twilight and new moon by stephenie meyer
both are great books its hard to put down. you'll stay up at night just to finish and reread it again. your life will change after reading them and just keep on thinking that you'd rather be in the book than be in the real world

I really liked Janette Oak "Love Comes Softly"
Also books by Madeline L'Engle, not "The Wrinkle in Time" series (very good but not romantic) but some of her others are.
Right now I'm reading the Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale. They are adventure, not so much romance but have romantic stuff in them and are very exciting.

My all time favourite is Noughts and Crosses by Mallory Blackman. Romance , drama just about everything and really un-putdownable!
Very funny series is Angus, thongs and Full frontal snogging by Louise Rennison, Absolutely hilarious!
Adrian Mole is readable too.

funny and romantic??? i dunno... but there is one romantic book i know, (one of my friends who read it keeps it like the Bible now, the book is awesome...) it's called "Whitney, my Love" by Judith McNaught... there's another book called "a piece of cake"... i am looking for the author, will let you know... mostly romantic books are pretty thrashy, so you read and forget :)
yeah, the name of the author for "Piece of Cake" is Swati Kaushal, she is an Indian and the book is set in India. Sorry, I am pretty useless in this category, do let me know, if you wanna know any spiritual books though...
