Could be a sweater, or a conch shell...or a charm bracelet, or a rock that says I Love You written on it.....name it.....for me it is actually all of the above. I appreciate the gifts in my life...this last year has been giftless.....that would happen one day......but I give and that makes me very happy. I for over 20 years wanted a black cardigan sweater with pockets.......something classic and timeless......how about you?

yes i have but i was just little and i asked for a neckless and never got it and i still do!!! i dont think that i am ever going to get it. it hase been like 11 years!!!

That is the story of my life. It seems like the smaller it is the harder to get. I have to get it all for myself. I asked for a Jem doll her for many Christmas' and Birthdays. I wanted her since I was a girl, and she came onto TV. I dreamed about a Jem doll. I wanted her more than anything in the world. I have hardly ever gotten anything I asked for, and when I did it was the wrong thing. The thing I want most is for someone to throw a party for me...birthday or anything. I have never had a Party. I have given many of them, but never received one. I have also always wanted a locket. I asked for one the first time when I was 9. I still do not own a locket. For 8 years I have been asking for a guitar...just a used basic acoustic guitar which would not cost much. I asked for that on My birthday this year, and I did not get a present at all. I feel your pain. I could go on and on..... This year I bought myself a Jem doll. I may be a little older, but I love it just the same.

And i mean TRULY meaningful.
Like the person actually thought about it and the gift embodied an integral part of who i was.
I ask for that every year...
And although some presents are certainly better than others, none have measured up to the ideal in my mind.

Yes every year. I tell my family before hand a month or more to buy me bath and body products. I can never get enough. I never get it. I end up with more and more jewelry that I don't need.....I have even told them no more jewelry...Never get what I want. haha

I never put in a request for a gift. I let people buy me what they want. If I want something bad enough I buy it myself.

One of my biggest pet peeves...I had to get pissed off before I started getting the gifts I wanted.
I like gifting and really put thought into what people want...even from months earlier that they themselves forgot they wanted it.

When I was a kid, I begged my parents for a Ken doll for my Barbies. It never happened! I've been totally traumatized by that!! lol!!
