I just moved here and I was wondering just how bad the winters get.I mean it can't be that bad can it? I know this sounds really stupid but just wondering.

A little global warming might be good for South Dakota in the winter.

i live in sioux falls. it really depends on which side of the state and which town you live it. the past few years have been rather mild and snowless, so i'm thinking were do for a nasty one this year. usually when we have droughts like we did this year, we get ots of snow that winter.....so hold on tight i don't think it is going to be a nice one this year. invest in a warm coat, hat, mittens and scarf. as well as an ice scrapper for your car. i'd also throw a couple of warm blankets in your car to leave there all season.....if it snows bad enough and you get stuck in it and your car stalls you will want them! most hardware stores here sell winter survival kits....i wouldn't buy one (it is cheaper to make your own usually) but see whats in them and stick some of those items in your car!

Use your Interent and look up the wether for the past three years. You needed to know that BEFORE you moved. Get ready for a big one!
