No. There are many people in the federal gov't, and people are flawed. There are bound to be some cheaters, pedophiles, philanderers, whatever.
The circus is the "gotcha" age we live in with the mass media making a big deal out of small things. Mark Foley is a great example. What should have been a 1 or 2 day story was played out for a month, because the mainstream media is all about tearing the powerful down.

Why be a criminal when you can be a representative who plays a role in controlling the spending of $2.7 trillion dollars? The pandering for votes has gotten out of control and those fanning the flames of class warfare should be taken to task.
Who are the separatists?
Government as a big social welfare spender is more like it, especially when considering expenditures and future spending growth for health care and Social Security (a/k/a "Ponzi Scheme").

They look like a bunch of pirate scoundrels from a bad TV movie. Give Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld an eye patch, a hook for a hand and a big pirate hat-- it's Halloween all the time!
They look like b-rated Hollywood --puffed up lies to argue with the press, illogical scolding of the public as they make stupid meaningless statements. Thinking People are amazed at the spectacle - never anything like it before in US history.

Its true. Its part of human nature to want to be in a position of power.
If you have watched south park before, you will realise all their interesting parodies making fun of govt. especially when peta members say that all elections are between a douche and a turd, cos theyre the only people who suck up enough to get that far in politics.
in recent years, the national union of students in australia have had comflict abt these. Members have complained that people only join the committees so they can further their political careers.
its a bunch of bs, but sadly it happens.
people do like drama, why do you think pro wrestling is so popular? they have added social drama and applied it to sports. the same can be said of politics.

Yes, and the problem is not isolated to just one political party. They are both full of idiots. Where do we turn to next?
