5x+ 8+3x – x +5 = 6x – 3
5x+8+2x+5=6x-3
7x+13=6x-3
7x+13-6x=6x-3-6x
x+13=-3
x+13-13=-3-13
x=-16
was that a good enough explanation? :D i wasnt sure if you'd get it. cuz you cant always just get the answer

5x + 8 + 3x - x + 5 = 6x - 3
7x + 13 = 6x - 3 (add like terms)
x = -16 (move all the x terms on one side and the regular numbers on the other)

5x+8+3x-1x+5=6x-3 first combine like terms on the left which you do like this: 5x+3x-1x (always an understood 1 in front of each x) +8+5 which eqauls:
7x+13=6x -3 now you have to start isolating the x so subtract the 13 on the left
-13 -13
________________ which gives you
7x = 6x - 16 now you have to get all the x's on the left side
-6x -6x
________________
1x or x= -16 your answer is x= -16
