I currently have a copper IUD in place (no hormones). I love it and it has worked really well for me. My husband and I want to try to get pregnant this summer. I know that we can start trying as soon at it is removed. Can anyone tell me if they truly had success right after having an IUD removed? I welcome any and all advice!!

yes you should have success at the rate that is normal for you pre iud or if you don't have kids yet at a rate that is normal for you as for advice take some good vitamins with folic acid just in case it does happen right away or faster than you expect

When you have it removed ask the doctor when would be a good time to start trying. I know I had to wait a few months, so that anything that came off the copper T would be removed through a few periods. I ended up with a beautiful daughter which is now 20 yrs old and a younger one that's 16.

Good luck and don't worry, You 'll be able to conceive

Hi, my friend had one & it took her 10 months to conceive. She had it taken out in Sept 2005 & didn't get pregnant until July 2006. Maybe it won't take you this long though!!
Good luck!
