We have to be practical. No where there are casteless society. Our five fingures can never be same. Every one has to perform his role.
Even if the caste system goes off there will be rich and poor so how does it really makes a difference. The marriages without caste systems are unscientific. The divorce rates worldwide are many times more where there are marriages without caste considerations. Is this not a fact. When the marriage takes place in a caste system based rituals the whole society is witness to the affair and it is not easy to break the bonds.

afraid, i have reservation.when was ever 1st thought of the caste meant no evil to any section.it was judicious. considered on predictable merit of outcome. neither vested -vote- bank- maths a basis.but to stabilize socio-economic. realities of that time. optimising tradional skill and ingenuity in production of goods and services.in short a rational social engg. relevent to division of labour.no work was looked down upon.a raja could marry a common working class lady. attaching respect to some section or denigrating another is a perverse perception which crept in to social texture-at later stages of history . a crazy clever taking the innocent for aride like the divine right theory or the eccleciastical pre-dominance in middle age Europe. to banish caste evil and restore human dignity in India is irrevocable. which has to happen in natural course of historical transformation. trend are already encouraging, with growth and expansion of edu, hard exclusive beliefs would get wiped off. however enactment of proposals to reserve-job ,admission into high IQ -courses, not on excellence but on birth consideration is tyrannically fallacious. a deceptive perpetuation of caste system in garb of reservation. a self-defeating scheme beyond doubt. more so, when the beneficiary is a 2nd or3rd gen birth claimant.resevation is other side of same caste- coin.destroy the dividing- instrument , the nation becomes caste-free. yes, provide more incentives to impart trg. until the disadvantaged comes up to level playing field , and dreams success in competitiveness .let's agree on an objective parameter to recognise merit in crucial areas of performances like high IQ-specific jobs or professional courses. buy some more time. let good sense prevail on HRD mandarins. things must go fine.hopefully, yes.

It is in fact deviding Indians.
Indian leaders do not want a
caste free society, otherwise,
there would have been a legislation.
They want to have votes in their
pockets by talking cast system.
All the leaders are crooks of the
first kind.

Not in my life time...
Forget reservations even when you rent a room/house your caste is asked.
i think there must be reservaions in Movies actors, 50% for SC/ST/OBC actors est for upper caste..heroine from uppere caste and hero from minority. Villain must be a tribal.
Make reservation in cricket too..By this condition of Indian cricket team. Wicket keeper from OBC and opening batsman from schedule caste. Even in fast bowlers ann spin bowlers we make quota system...
At last as long as we have decomcracy or a breed of uneducated scruplous politicians India can never be caste free.

Are you married, if not try for intercaste marriage. If you want to see an ending point, there should be some beginning point for it. I am seeing a good beginning and i am optimistic that we can see the results in the coming future when we all share the hands for it.
