The Coach can only guide and motivate the players. It is upto the players to perform to their potential. If you take the case of Match against Australia, India could have scored atleast 30 to 40 runs, if the batsmen attempted to accelerate the scoring after 30 overs as India had wickets in hand. Things became worse after Raina came to the crease as he occupied the crease for couple of overs without scoring much. Then the bowlers, except to some extent Sreesant, were erratic in their line and length and the target.

Unless and until players show some commitment in the interest of the team, things will not improve whoever the coach is.

India was never in such a pathetic situation since last 3-4 years.
John Write and Sourav Ganguly combination was able to atleast make the indian team playing in final of almost all tournaments from a tri-series to world cup level tournaments. But now chappel and dravid is not even able to make india even reaching in final of both the tournaments. Dravid is not the guilty but he is not able to go against chappel's thinking and thatz why he is also suffering. The best example you can find in yesterday's game when he took two pure batsmen Kaif and Raina, where only one was required, especially kaif. Instead Raina, he could have taken Ramesh Powar. Remember me, Raina is never a replacement of Yuvraj or Kaif.

Greg Chappel is the worst thing that can happen to the Indian Cricket.

He should be sacked right away if BCCI wants some future for Team India.

WHY WE BLAIM GREG CHAPPEL- COACH OF INDIAN TEAM, WHAT ABOUT BCCI SELECTORS ? WHAT ABOUT OUR SELECTION PANEL WHO CHOOSED ONE OF THE BEST COACH AS GREG ?

I CANNOT SAY GREG IS DOING GOOD OR BAD JOB. BCCI WILL EVALUATE GREG'S PERFORMANCE, BUT ONE THING CONFIRMED INDIAN PLAYERS APPROCH AND BODY LANGUAGE TOWARDS THE GAME SAYS THERE IS LOT LOT LOT OF CHANGES REQUIRED IF THEY WANTS TO BE SERIOUS IN THIS BUSINESS.
