That has been a controversial topic for thirty years, and there is nothing that can be done about it. If a player snaps at a female reporter, it's harassment, so basically men have to accept it and keep their mouths shut. It sucks, and it is a double standard that you wouldn't see a male reporter in a female locker room. Female athletes would sue if males were allowed into their locker room, but female reporters would sue if someome messed with them.

I don't think female reporters should be allowed in, at least until the athletes have had time to dress or cover up. I think that men should be allowed into female locker rooms (even though female sports aren't really worth covering). If the female athletes scream, maybe someone will do something about women in mens' locker rooms.

I have always loved football and was probably one of the biggest tomboys you ever met. I have to agree with you on this one. I have never seen a female who came across natural in the locker room. In fact, the commentary usually seems contrived and lack luster. The broadcasting heart is in the right place but it should improve not diminish the interview. Plus would they let a guy run around a women's dressing room if the women were naked?

Employers are not allowed to discriminate based on gender. Therefore, if a woman is best for the reporting job, she is the one who will be hired. If part of the job involves doing interviews in the locker room (I'm not sure why; isn't it weird even for a guy to be interviewing other guys while they are practically naked?), then that's where she'll be.

It's another double standard. Women want to be "equal" but you'll never see a male reporter in a women's locker room.

Well if I were a reporter that's where I would be. Think about it, would you like to go into a women's locker room?
