Unfortunately, yes - most of the time. Being attractive effects a lot of things you do, in a good or bad way but usually not to a significant amount.

I would have to say yes but its also a negitive or positive...if you are a girl being hired by a girl and you are really attractive...you probably wont get the job. If you are an attractive girl getting hired for a job by a man you will most likely get it. But if you are a guy with a guy men dont really give a crap about that kind of stuff they just care about the other guy getting the job done and dont care about appearance.

Yes it does, as bad as it sounds, a good looking person has an edge over everybody else, studies have proved that looks go a long way in the job department. The sad thing is that the person who was hired might not be as qualified as someone else that interviewed, but because they were good looking they got the job over the other people. Just goes to show that good looking people suck, they have everything in life practically handed to them, while all us average Joe's have to struggle, and work hard our entire lives for what we have

Sadly enough yes. Especially if you are going to be in an admin or office type job where they want to sent a big impression. Now if you are going to be working at a gas station or the local McD's. It will count for some but not a great deal. Let's admit it. People are hooked for the most part on seeing to cover of the book and not reading the inside.

absolutely. There are actually many studies done on this issue. While it is nice to try and believe that this is not the case. The truth is...it does affect whether on is hired for a job or not. Often it happens before that. First impressions do matter (even if it is cliche')

It shouldn't but it does. It improves your chances. Of course it can have a positive effect in business etc.
It also annoys me thinking how they must feel if they know that's probably why they were hired, and not for their skills.
If you're attractive guys may not take you seriously so it can hurt your chances of promotion, or some guy can start hitting on you which causes friction in the office.
I'm glad I'm a guy and don't have to worry about that. Good luck with it though!

I think it depends on what job it is, and what kind of boss they have.
Someone in a high scale job would like to see an attractive person working with them everyday, but someone working at say McDonald's is just happy someone filled out the application.

Absolutely...if someone ugly and someone attractive apply for the same job and both are equally qualified they will hire the more attractive one. No doubt, this works with both men and women.

Yes, most certainly. Most of communication that occurs during an interview is non verbal, so your looks, the way you are dress and the way talk, walk and carry yourself in general, does have an effect during the hiring process.

Yep!
A person who's been interviewing applications for days, finally picks the 3 best and goes all of the merits and experience in detail with the big boss.
He listens, and then says "Hire the one with the big boobs."
However these days, the question is only brought up after they're hired.
For example: "I saw the new employee. What's the matter - none with big boobs applied?
