Important factors in Asians personal characteristics that allowed them to survive racism in the US?

This is for my Multicultural psychology class. I need to show how 3 factors: 1. The belief in in-group superiority of White workers; 2. exploitative practices of businesses; and 3. the creation of between group competition for a perceived scarce resource (jobs and land) led to the extreme prejudice against Chinese and Japanese workers who immigrated to this country.
