Does it mean you will have stretch marks? How did you handle the itchiness?

This is when you have this awful itch on the stomach and you scratch and have this rash. PUPPP stands for Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy.

I am 40 weeks pregnant and have developed this horrible rash that makes me want to rip off my skin and rip off the faces of everyone around me. You should really do a search online for "PUPPP" and you will find some good sites that give info from other people who have suffered from this. Also, make sure to go and see your doctor, because they need to be aware that you have a rash and they may be able to give some advice and/or a prescription to help you sleep. Mine gave me HCL which is a high dose anthistamine and has helped a lot. Just know that nothing will completely stop the itching and it will only start to go away after the baby has been born.

Apparently its common in pregnancy my mom, my aunt and my cousin all had it towards the end of their pregnancy's. It doesn't necessarily mean you will have stretch marks, and i would just put non scented lotion on my stomach.

Stretch marks are due to rapid weight loss and genetics.
