I need to know this so I can decide if I my agp system is dead with direct x 10 or not

Well to correct what the previous guy said, yes you will be able to play DirectX10 games for a while becasue they will come with patches for compatibility, you need a full DX10 card to get the full experience of DX10 games. As for your question, the answer right now is a big fat maybe. I wouldn't think so, but they just put out an AGP X1950XT, so it wouldn't surprise me if some manufacturer out there decided to release a DX10 card for AGP, just to take advantage of people in your situation.

DirectX is backwards compatible with cards. You can run a game on a new card or an old card. It will disable the features not supported. Upgrading directX should not break anything.

no .. and ur operating system is toast to .. xp wont support it from what i heard .. only vista.
