I have the following P0171, according to the code it means "system to lean (bank 1)" and P0174 "system to lean (bank 2). Anyone knows what the problem or the codes mean.

It means you have a vacuum leak somewhere on the intake system, between the MAF (mass airflow sensor) and the intake valves of the engine. You have UNMETERED air getting into the intake causing the lean condition (PCV hose, worn upper to lower intake gasket(s), cracked vacuum hose, etc).

lean air fuel ratio on bank 1 and bank 2
cause . Vacuum leak or dirty MAF sensor
look at freeze frame data to give you a better clue
If freeze frame data sets at idle speed and 0MPH, check for vacuum leaks. if it set @ above idle speed and above 0MPH check for a MAF sensor problem or low fuel pressure. even a bad O2 sensor can cause a P0171 & PO174.
If its a Ford your working on, Clean the MAF Sensor, reset KAM and run drive cycle

In most cases you are getting too much air in the system. Strangely enough it could mean a spark plug issue or an air leak in the emission, vacuum or air system.
If you do not know enough, you are better off finding a QUALIFIED mechanic and letting them handle it for you because you could do more harm then good if you try to repair it yourself.
