A T3 is NOT a fraction of a T1, it is 30x FASTER than a T1.

T1's can cost $400-$1000+ per month. http://www.speakeasy.net is one place you can get a T1 from.

But a T1 is 1.5 Mbit download and 1.5 Mbit Upload, and it can do both simultaneously. So if you already have a 6Mbit capable line, a T1 will NOT help you.

There is no such thing as a T1 internet service. The ISP will connect your end of the T1 line to theirs (a dedicated line) Usually it is a shared line. The owners of an office building might install it and the renters share that line. A full T1 is only about 1.5 Mbps. Compared to Cable or DSL it is very expensive. I would say about $300/month for a full T1 line (24 channels).

Most major ISP's but you prob can't afford it, not even a T3 which is a portion of a T1.
