Bronchi is the plural of bronchus. There are two bronchi, which are the tubes that lead from the trachea to the lungs. These permit oxygenated air to enter the lungs, and expel air with carbon dioxide. They branch out into bronchioles, which lead to the alveoli where the exchange of gasses takes place.

A common ailment with which you may be familiar is bronchitis. This is an inflammation of the bronchi.
