Have you ever had an experience where you made an assumption, only to find that you had jumped to a conclusion too quickly? Describe the experience?

I was told by a friend that my daughter was hanging out with a crowd of kids into meth. She'd been telling me she was wanting to lose weight for some time, so I immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was smoking meth.

I confronted her - her response was to offer to be drug tested, and told me that if some people can be bad influences, why can't others be good influences?

It was a good discussion, after my reactionary bad beginning....
