Kobe's better this whole making players better argument is bs. Fact is when Kobe's scoring average went up so did the lakers wins. Fact is people say Jordan made everyone around him better and Kobe doesn't. Fact is Rodman, Pippen, Kukoc, Harper were all good players or all stars on their own. Pippen was one of the top draft picks, and Rodman already was a rebounding champ before he joined the bulls, Kukoc was a hyped player from europe, and Harper was an all star with another team, and Horace Grant performed just as well when he wasn't on the bulls. The guy who deserves credit is the guy who drafted Pippen, and Jordan. I mean Jordan is the best ever not a GM, and neither is Kobe.

First of all, I don't ever recall hearing ANYONE say Jordan made everyone around him better. The only one he made better was himself. Without Pippen, he doesn't win a championship, period. Not that Pippen was all that great, but he WAS just what the Bulls needed (not to mention Bird and Magic retiring).

I would actually give alot of the credit to the coach, who was able to pull everyone together as a team, and getting Rodman somewhat under control.

Basketball is a team game. Look at what Bird and Magic did with the other players on their teams. Both of them could have scored whenever they wanted, but they sacrificed their personal glory for the team. Thats why they won all those championships (against better competition than the 90's Bulls faced).

Kobe is a great player, yes, but he'd be even greater and maybe win a ring if he tried to involve his teammates more and didn't try to do everything himself.

It is a legitimate argument.
Jordan did not make his teammates better. Jordan did not win until he age ed to be a team by listening to Phil Jackson.
Magic made his teammates better.
