No not communist politics just a way to ensure greater diversity in candidates not always the same rich candidates who have no idea what its like to be middle class. The chance for anyone to be President.

The only problem I have with that Stephanie is that those who've donated more money to a single party would see some of their overflow finances going to a party they do not support. Though I agree excess campaign contributions can be used as a form of bribery and a temptation for corruption, the idea you have proposed could prove unfair to those who want to support their party of choice, and prevent people from being involved in the political process, as they see it unfair. I believe the current Campaing Finance Reform serves as a good temporary solution to the problems we saw with Nixon until a better solution, through debate and discussion, can be reached.

Good question. Campaign financing may check to some extend, a favour in barter to campaign financing from a person, but roots and branches of corruption or dishonesty are so deep that survival of honesty got question mark. We can not make the politicians honest but make the government work, by frequent changing the government which does not work. Honesty among politicians will come only if their hearts feel for their good and people continuously hate the dishonest politicians irrespective of their person gain and interest.

We already have the best politicians money can buy. As they write the laws, and the President can ignore any he chooses just with a "signing," it is extremely difficult to get through. It is like quicksand or flypaper. Finance reform would be a good beginning, but if we didn't have the will and ability to follow through on those political whores, they would turn it around with the flic of their Bics. Just Social Security alone is enough reason for them all to be in jail for life.

You know, a wise old man once told me that you can elect the most honest man in town to congress and by the time he was running for his second term he will be corrupt. I don't think that campaign finance reform is the answer. I think term limits, lower the pay, and benefits, and especially the pensions do away with them entirely. Then you might begin to see some honest politicians and not lawyers.

I have absolutely no idea why you see some kind of connection between this Robin-Hood distribution of campaign money and the honesty of politicians.

No. NOTHING will insure that we have honest politicians unless people simply stop voting for them.
