We're reading Dante's Inferno now in World Cultures and I just had to ask the online community: What would your 9 Levels of Hell be? What are the worst sinners and who are subject to a lighter hell?

The teaching of 9 layers of hell comes from Dante's Inferno. It's a great read for a fictional work, but a bad idea to take as fact.

Hell is totally fictitious, so dividing it into levels is best left to tale-spinners like Dante Alighieri.

The worst sinners are the televangelists because they are lying to control the masses in the name of God. Beyond that, you're on your own.

It would be all forms of slavish Christians.
Because God gave us free will, why the hell would he think us so stupid to believe the BS in the local church?
Mostly preachers sucking each other off, nuns in bondage, and scrappy idiots, ignorants, and the insane who believe they talk to God would be scratching the rusty chalkboards of eternity.
