If I was single and I like her then I try my best to acknowledge it. I will try overcome my shyness.

I would say how much are you willing to risk only because you are shy? if you like or love this girl, then you should consider that and try to forget about your shyness, because those are the things love does to us it changes us into the people we want to be...

If she likes you ask her out, i guess i need a little bit more info about the situation. If she loves you and you have been out with her and you feel the same way tell her. Good luck either way!

If you loved her back...umm...I think the answer is clear.
So what if you're shy. She probably likes that. Don't try to be anything you're not.
I'm assuming that this question is more than purely hypothetical.
