x=84 add 2 to both sides to get 3/4x=7+2/3x then subtract 2/3x from both sides. get the least common denominator(12) and then subtract. This gives you 1/12x=7 then you times both sides by 12 to get 84

(3/4)x - 2 = 5 + (2/3)x

Multiply everthing by 12

3(3x) - 2(12) = 5(12) + 4(2x)
9x - 24 = 60 + 8x
x = 84

subtract 2/3x to both sides.
add 2 to both sides.
then the result would be 9x-8x/12= 7
then, the result is x/12k = 7
then x = 84.
