It depends. I pay for mine emotionally and mentally. When we commit what another person, religion believes is a sin, if we are breaking the law, we pay a fine, that must be with cash most of the time, and when we do it in some other country, they may cut your hands and/or specific limbs. Do we pay for sins? Of course not, it depends who it is...IF their conscious is eating them up, and they feel what they did is wrong, they pay for this emotionally. The sin depends on who does it and who's punishing it.

Death or you can ask for salvation which is given by the grace of God so you only have an earthly death but a place in heaven for eternity. Then repent daily, asking God to forgive you of all wrong doing. That doesn't give you permission to do whatever you want and repent every night. You have to try not to repeat your wrong doings (sin) Hope this helps.

depends on your religion. I'm a Catholic and a sacrament we have is called "Reconciliation" here, the priest takes the role of God and you confess your sins to him. The priest is not allowed to repeat those sins and he would most likely forget because he would most likely have to listen to 100 other sins. then the priest will tell you to do something. its mostly prayer based things.
I hope that this helped you. I'm sorry if it didn't if you aren't Catholic.

nobody is asking me for a fee, I don't even receive any billing notice... do I have an accounts payable then?
kidding aside, people repent... and Jesus paid it for all of us! Me? I usually believe that I'm already forgiven for the sins I have committed unconsciously, because I see to it that I'm living in a clean way, I'm just a human being that commits mistakes unintentionally.

Why should you have to pay for living your life the way you want? People whom believe in any god are afraid of taking responsibilty of their own lives and need some higher power to satisfy their needs.

Jesus has already paid for my sins. I ask forgiveness and make changes to my life to avoid making the same mistake again, but Jesus' salvation is what redeems me.

You must ask God to send you to purgatory and you must suffer for your sins to be forgiven to get God s favor because its not his responsibility to suffer for your sins. If you go to purgatory and walk therein you will learn how not to sin and be forgiven of all sin.
