Holy water will kill a vampire. But, will a vampire touch you if your clothes are soaked in Holy Water and you carry a water pistol filled with the Holy Water to shoot him if need be?

The proper weapons used to kill a vampire will work for "anyone" even if that person(s) isn't a christian. Of course, vampires don't exist....or do they!

That depends on you. If you believe in the power of God then Holy Water and Crucifixes will work, but if you don't believe fully, then you are a vampire's lunch.

Alright, my suggestion is that if you are that unsure about your actions, do not hunt vampires. I charge $20,000 dollars per head, but this price may change due to the situation. Holy water works to some extent, but I will take care of your problem if you have one. I have exterminated them for years, and I am very effective at what I do. I, however, do not consider myself responsible for collateral damage, so if the vampire is thrown into something or killed in a messy way, I don't have time to clean up. If you have any 'leeches' lurking around, just e-mail me.

It depends....are you Catholic by any chance?

Are you a big time religious fanatic, showing up at church whenever the doors open, praying multiple times a day, that sort of thing...? Do you really feel that close to the Lord Your God as you Know Him? (so to speak)

*That* is the kicker. If the Victorian era (think Bram Stoker era) written accounts of the folklore have any weight at all, it is the *faith* that turns, not the object itself. You could have Holy Water blessed by the Pope himself and if you don't believe, it's not going to matter.

And of course all of this assumes that the creature itself is a) a true believer too, and/or b) has enough of a brain *left*, being dead and all, to care much.

In other words, if you really, genuinely think you have a vampire problem (not likely, but I've seen and heard stranger things in life), you'd be better off investing in some real-world strategies for survival: weaponry, a shark-proof suit of diver's armor, a good alarm clock, locks for your windows, maybe a plane ticket to somewhere that is *sunny and tropical* this time of year.

Really, that last one sounds like a fair bet. ;) You don't hear of any Hawiian or Samoan vampires now, do you? *lol*

Just saying, thanks for your time! :)

This is just a myth you've heard and are repeating here. NO self-respecting vampire recognizes ANY water as Holy. If I were you I'd try to appease that vampire you're concerned about with a blood offering (someone else"s preferably) instead of water. Humph.... the very idea.....Water!

Holy water is a figment of some Catholic Priest imagination and so is the cross. There are many fact out there that can teach you about how to protect yourself from a real vampire attack, as for hunting one, That will take an idiot full of false knowledge to do so even staking a vampire will not work like in the movies for it will take a special stake made of ashwood to really have the exxect you are looking for. Also the true vampire is not as hindered in daylight as the movies will have you believe so even sun-light is out. Before I go out hunting such a creature as a true vampire I would like to know things that can really slow down or stop a vampire in it track. Their are ancients things as well as words that can do that, so you have to do some serious reading to do that, and I would work in my local library and on my computer to find out what those things are before I go out hunting one and allowing myself to be come another victim of the undead................ As far as those that don't believe there are to many stories out there where people die from the loss of blood and yet there was no blood to be found around them and many of them show teeth marks. Their problems is they just don't really don't read about it or do any real research about the existence of the real thing...................................... Do yourself a favor and start reading and doing your own research and do not believe in those that really do not know the truth.......................
