X M: "The runaway bride" that you refer to is the Christmas special. It's a stand alone episode that has nothing to do with the second or third season.

When David Tennant signed up to be the Doctor, it was announced that he would star in two Christmas specials (last year and this year) and two seasons (this year and next year). They're hoping for a fourth season, but they'll have to see what happens in the third next year first. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Ok first off, you're wrong about the ending...or are you?

There will be a third season and it premiers in Britian on Christmas. It will be called The Bride.

Yes, there is a third season, and yes, Rose will be *gone*, but the Dr. will have a new companion.

Rose doesn't die, per se, but she is *gone*...but in a kinda happy way.
