Is there a TV Show that makes You question why could this possibly STILL be on the Air?

Well they are statistically based and while you can't really make statistics say anything you want there is a certain amount of error involved any time you try and relate a statistic back to the true population.

Errors in the sampling is also something that you tend to run into and has been one of the major concerns with Nielsen for some time. Certain demographics are under represented in the sampling and trying to relate it back to the population will not necessarily accurately reflect what is actually happening in that demographic.

Nielsen ratings are certainly flawed and out dated but there has yet to be a better system.

The Nielsen TV Ratings are based on statistics. Statistics can be made to say anything you want them to say.

No way. If they were accurate the WWF would have never made #1 several years back.

of course! there's tons of shows on air that are pretty awful.
