I'm doing a paper on abortion. I am pro-life. I believe abortion is very wrong. But if you have anything that shows how abortion is wrong, it would be very helpful. So just give me your thoughts about it.

I do also think about why someone would choose an abortion, for example, rape. But God would not cause a baby to be conceived if there were not a purpose. Even if the mother does not want to take care of the baby, there are plenty of parents who can't have babies that are waiting to adopt. Anyway, thank you to those of you who have helped me. Even if you are pro-choice, tell me what you think. I will listen to anything you have to say. I want to hear both sides.

Just the act of abortion is horrible. Can you imagine a baby being born and just when the head comes out a needle is thrust in the back of the neck killing the baby?!!!!!!!!
Or, a tube is inserted inside the woman literally sucking the baby out, tearing it into pieces and then the nurse or doctor has to reassemble all the pieces to make sure none is left in the woman.
Now, tell me this isn't wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!

From conception the "embryo" has everything it needs to be fully functional -except for the time it takes to grow - it has the complete string of DNA etc - it is a living "creature" unless a "surgery" is performed to kill it - living is living and murder is murder
And it is perfectly OK to be pro-life - the "pro-murderer" group will always try to get you on their side because that is just the way evil works
And as far as the woman who got raped thing goes.......how many women do you think really got pregnant the one time they got raped? and how many who claim they were raped were really just covering up sleeping around - or sleeping with someone else's husband or just simply used it as an excuse when they were simply irresponsible
IF a woman was really raped then how does it equal out that just because someone terribly wronged her that she should go a murder a perfectly innocent baby? Two wrongs do not make a right and murder is murder is murder -
Also God said do not judge - he also said not to commune with those who are sinners lest you (become one of them) - (don't remember exact phrasing, but I got the point)

Honestly, I'm against abortion also, I'm not really sure what all I can offer except just do a search on the Internet, and maybe you can look at it from a spiritual point of view by typing in abortion and religion together in the search engine, also, I would do a search on rape and abortion together, you need to be able to see both sides, pro-life vs choice.

So your doing a one-sided paper about abortion then?
If you are pro-life then should you not also be interested in the life of a woman who is raped and gets pregnant? Or how about a child molested by a family member and gets pregnant?
Can you tell me just what exactly does Pro-life mean if you only seem to be interested in the life of the unborn and not the person who has to carry it?

If you check on the hypocratic oath, I believe that it originally stated words to the effect where the physician pledged not to introduce any destructive suppository to cause a woman's fruit to depart from her or something like that.
Other than that, with the exception of recent times(Roe vs Wade), court precident held that life began at conception, and everyone, including unborn life, was guaranteed the God-given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right of life was listed first, as without the guarantee of life, the other two were meaningless.
I would also refer you to the national Right-to-life, to see what they have that could help you.
Hope this helps you,

Go to www.silentscream.org this is the most informative site on abortion I thought.
It is based on a documentary that shows an abortion being done on ultrasound from the baby's perspective.

Go to the site called wwwliveprayer.com and there is a link that actually shows a one minute clip of a real abortion !! I don't think anyone who can watch that horrible reality video that has already KILLED MILLIONS of BABIES could not think it is wrong, then they must not be human themself !!! I dare anyone who is "pro choice" to check out that website !!

How to prevent abortions:
a) ban them
b) ban sex
c) help our children learn enough to avoid being put in the position of having to face that choice.
Why do so many insist that a) is the only possible answer? How can so many think that we can make b) the answer when it would require us to become the first humans in 10,000 years to cure mankind of sex?
We didn't cure polio. We found a way to prevent people from getting it. We innoculate our children's bodies against a dozen crippling diseases, but some refuse to innoculate our children's minds against the ignorance that leads them to make the mistakes that end them up needing to face the prospect of an abortion.
Education, knowledge, open communication about issues of sex, love and intimacy and teaching our children how to make intelligent, responsible choices about sex is the only way we are going to really make progress on this problem.

The major supporting argument is based in Christian thought. Therefore it is biased. If you can find something that argues for pro-life that has no ties to any religion, then maybe you can make a case.
Separation of church and state is a constituional ammendment. Just because you think something is wrong, doesn't mean that it isn't constitutional.

No Christian would make a comment either way in order to force another person to live their way. Christ Himself would not judge others -- He would live by example, not by force.
Abortion is not an Christian issue. If you believe abortion is bad, do what Christ would do -- love others. If they can not handle a child, ADOPT THE CHILD. Don't force them to "not have an abortion," don't scare them about God's Judgement, do what Christ would do! Sacrifice yourself to adopt the child, and keep adopting until it really IS a sacrifice.
Christians, real Christians, don't judge others no matter what.
