Definitely.
The Bush Administration and the Republican majority in the Congress do not know what compromise is.
Because Congress was partly controlled by Republicans during Clinton administration, there were less partisanship back then.

Fox News has entered the crying game so now you have the liberal media cry babies on the left and the conservative/neo conservative cry babies on the right and that's what polarizes the nation because Americans for some reason love to listen to cry babies. If you don't like cry babies try the Libertarian Party.

America is more polarized because of unchecked power cramming immoral viewpoints down our throats. This after claiming to be a uniter, compassionate and moral. Six years of lies and lunacy have driven the majority of Americans to the bathroom to puke!

WE are more polarized because we are more at risk under Bush and we are at war, on several fronts. In addition there are so many shady dealings going on under Bush's watch that even Republicans are backing away from him. That is a nonpartisan viewpoint and I wish I was wrong but things are really unstable now.

I think that there are several factors. The disputed 2000 election is certainly an important part. This turned a lot of dems int cry babies, or at least exacerbated that condition. Part is that they were convinced that Bush was intellectually inferior & are unable or unwilling to accept the fact that he beat them. The media are part of the left, so I wouldn't split that out as a separate reason. There are probably other factors that don't immediately come to mind.

stupid question. We had a Republican Congress for 6 of the 8 years of the Clinton administration.
There are more sore winners in the Republican party. Expect conservatives to be angry and foaming at the mouth regardless of the outcome of the election.

I love the Republicans do not compromise answer. Shows polarization at its best. The Democrats kept completely respectable Judges in questioning for months before approving them for Supreme Court even though they said & knew they would approve them. They were after information they could use against President Bush.
They got "nothing" but to look foolish.
The left wing media helps by inflaming people on dumb matters &
the constant whining about my vote did not count. Then mark your stupid ballot right - I did. I read the instructions, why can't you?

America is more polarized now because the damned libs think that lying under oath and law doesn't apply to them.
They got mad as hell because Clinton was caught desecrating the office of president, his marriage, and was outed as a sex offender. The democrats have even upheld a pedophile in the past, Gerry Studds, and they reelected him 5 times, but they demand 1/2 of the GOP congress to resign because pervert Mark Foley sent inappropriate emails. I'm glad he resigned!! Prosecute the perv, but if he was a democrat, they would reelect him and would defend his activity to this day.
Democrat liberals get mad as hell if they are called into account, and will even sell out to terrorists so they can try to get revenge. Fortunately, for us, it always bites them on their *** as it has done the last 8 years.

I think its more that the lines have been drawn clearer and neither side is getting things done. In fact, things have gotten worse and the media isn't helping.
