the hawkeye dosen't have a radiator its air cooled so dont listen to the ase cert. cage (car) mechanic i am a cert polaris mechanic and a motorcycle mechanics institute grad
the hose is a breather tube from the gas tank it equalizes pressure in the fuel tank as fuel fills th bowl in the carb if this hose gets pinched or cloged (dirtdobbers like to make nest in places like this) the fuel tank will vapor lock (kinda like when you hold yor finger over the end of a straw and the drink won't come out) polaris uses vent hoses on the belt drive, differentals, fuel tank not the battery b/c this ATV uses a maintance free battery and vents through the caps on top that are pushed doen flush w/ the top of the battery also these little engines are a bit noisey nothing to worry about they have loose clearances and the overhead camshaft is chain driven other then that they are pretty dependable. i have not experanced a catostrophic failure in the three years they have been out

I don't know what an atv is but-----if the hose is on the passenger near the heater hoses it is the drain for your air conditioner. The a /c condenses moisture in the air and it becomes water. When you stop after using your a /c you will see a puddle of water in that area so don't think you have a leak.

Radiator overflow hose, should not be connected at the lower end to allow for expansion of coolant. Let it hang.

all clear hoses on Polaris's are overflow hoses. Don't worry about it and for god's sake DON"T PULL ON IT!
