1. www.freeav.com -- love this program, couldn't live without it, it catches more stuff than anything else i've ever heard of, free or not!

2. FireFox (internet browser) comes with the best built-in pop-up blocker...not that I like FireFox, but I will admit it seems to have the best pop-up blocker, and enough other people swear by it that it's worth checking out as a browser...just because I don't like it doesn't mean you won't.

3. A second computer running SmoothWall (a free linux program) is the best firewall solution I've come across, but you've got to really know your computer stuff for that to work. The Windows Firewall isn't the best, by far, but it will do a good job, so make sure that's on at all times and you should be relatively safe.

4. Adaware SE (try download.com) and Spybot Search & Destroy (download.com might have this, but if not, just google it, it's a common program and should be easy to find). These two programs are the best out there, but they both have some holes, which is why I always reccomend them together, what problems one doesn't catch, the other always does!

Hope this helps, feel free to email me twistedscorpio87@yahoo.com if you have any more questions!

On a sidenote, some of the above reccomended using the Yahoo or Google toolbars...as helpful as these toolbars can be they ARE SPYWARE, and since you're asking for anti-spyware programs, I would seriously advise against downloading one or both of these! It just wouldn't make sense.

1) AVG
2) Use Firefox instead of IE and you don't need a popup blocker
3) ZoneAlarm
4) Both Ad-aware and Skybot Seek&Destroy. All "list" of spyware are made by people, so they vary. Use both and one will get what the other misses.
