Tonight is movie night with my children and for movie night they chose the scooby do movies, and Im pretty sure this has alreghty been brought up, but i havent ever really watched the movie but did you know that in Scooby Do, (the 1st movie) That Shaggy says, Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir, (the Lady Marmalade song), Now i would this that since people try and rip disnay a new one every time a parent finds something insulting they try to sue someone. Or make some kind of fuss about it, that they would have edited it out or not let it be said in the movie.

Now dont get me wrong i dont personally care my children are to young to notice things like that. But it does suprise me.

Now i guess i should ask a question huh?

So here it goes........... What are your feelings about the things found in movies that parents are upset about. (ie. Little mermaid, priest with a hard on, Coke bottle, naked lady.. etc...)?

I think it's just more insulting for us, as parents to realize the pervs making the film. When you have children the timing and way of telling children things is sensitive & up to each parent. Who wants to be forced to talk about inappropriate things with their children when they are clearly not ready to talk about it or could even understand it. I don't care if I sound like an angry parent or complaining about movies these days because I am. I don't even trust the rating system that these movies come out with because in my opinion when it says PG-13 that means it's appropriate for a 13 year old & up. That means I don't expect to see nudity, sex, too much violence, but of course I always do. Therefore, I have to screen a lot of stuff. I would say that the Disney movies are ok, but I just have gone back to trying to let my kids read as much as possible & play outside!

It's in French. I doubt your kids are going to notice. That's probably why it wasn't taken out. But if you want to be offended by Disney movies, watch Peter Pan. Ten year old boys smokin' a peace pipe.

so you think your kids will know that they can ask for the services of a french prostitute by watching this movie? well if they are smart enough to figure that out then tell them no
